| THIS week one of Tyrone's best loved restaurants gets cooking again! The Millstone Restaurant (formerly Mc- Girrs) opens its doors again for bistro meals on Friday, September 24 at 5pm. Situated in the picturesque townland of Gortnagarn, just outside Omagh, two miles from the Folk Park and nestled near the Gortin Hills, the Millstone has long been synonymous with quality food served in a friendly atmosphere. Taking over the reins are local couple Noel and Eucharia Stewart who have owned the Millstone for the past eight years, but leased it out as The Gateway and Brasserie in recent years. Noel and Eucharia, along with an experienced team, most of whom worked previously in Mambojax Restaurant, are proud to present the recently refurbished restaurant along with a varied and exciting new menu. Relax in beautiful and cosy surroundings where there is something for everyone’s tastes. So whether it be slowcooked duck, juicy loin of local lamb or simply a coffee and a snack, it is all available at the new Millstone Restaurant. Bistro style menus will be available Friday, Saturday and Sunday including Sunday lunch. The Millstone is open Wednesday through to Friday from 5.30pm. Saturday and Sunday from 12.30pm and closed on Monday and Tuesday. | Noel and Eucharia are pleased to announce as well as providing quality food, they will be specialising in all types of functions and small weddings. For larger weddings and functions, the team at The Millstone are proud to announce they will be assisted by Seamus McCrossan, owner and chef of the award winning Mambojax Catering and Training. He will provide assistance with the design and catering of more complex menus, that may be required for certain functions.
